Experience lasting change
It's frustrating to feel stuck and unsure how to move forward. Perhaps you're dealing with the lasting effects of trauma, intrusive thoughts, or painful feelings you can't seem to let go of.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) may be exactly what you need to start feeling better.
EMDR can help you move from pain to possibility.
Go from...
"I'm overwhelmed."
"It's not safe to trust"
"I'm not good enough"
"It's not okay to make mistakes."
"I'm responsible for their feelings"
To...
"I can control what I can."
"I can learn how to trust."
"I am good enough—just as I am."
"I can learn and grow from mistakes."
"I can recognize what is and isn't my responsibility."
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps your brain process difficult memories safely, reducing their emotional impact without getting stuck in the past. Many clients report feeling lighter, more present, and ready to move forward.

What is EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) uses bilateral stimulation to reprogram the way distressing memories and images are stored in the brain. This helps them no longer trigger strong physical or emotional reactions. EMDR is evidence-based and supports clients in developing capacity to shift their internal experience, bringing up positive feelings and promoting lasting change.
How does it work?
EMDR helps you heal from trauma and painful experiences without having to relive or retell them in detail. Many clients find lasting relief and move forward with greater peace, confidence, and emotional balance.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps the brain process trauma, anxiety, and depression much like the body heals physical wounds. Using bilateral stimulation—such as guided eye movements or gentle tapping—it helps process stuck memories and negative beliefs, leading to lasting emotional and behavioral change.

What happens during the session?
During an EMDR session, we'll choose an issue or memory you'd like to work on. We'll briefly explore the images and body sensations associated with it while using bilateral stimulation—either through guided eye movements or gentle tapping—which creates a calming effect for most clients.
At the end of the session, we use guided imagery to help you leave feeling grounded, balanced, and ready to continue your day. Your brain already knows how to do this—we simply start the process and get out of the way.
Ready to give EMDR a try?
If you're ready to experience the power of EMDR, we can work together in several ways.

In-Person & Online
We can work together at my Doylestown office or online from anywhere in PA.
EMDR can be incorporated into talk therapy, or we can focus solely on EMDR for short-term, solution-focused work.

Intensives
For clients seeking a more intensive experience or traveling from a distance, we can schedule longer sessions or multiple sessions per week to help you feel better even faster.

Team Approach
If you already have a therapist, we can still integrate EMDR into your care. I'm happy to collaborate with your current therapist as part of a treatment team to help you reach your goals.
As I work toward EMDR certification, I receive ongoing supervision and consultation from EMDRIA-approved consultant, Linda Hershman, LMFT.
